Rain Garden

As part of their efforts to give back to their hometown, Pittsburgh Pirates Charities has been working with community groups to redesign local ball fields using green infrastructure. WPC was asked to help install a rain garden to assist with some challenging hydrologic conditions due to the steep slopes of the property. Working with designs by Astorino, WPC field staff created a rain garden to complement the storm drain system on site. The ribbon cutting took place on July 7, 2011.
