TreeVitalize - Wilkinsburg

TreeVitalize Pittsburgh has added 500 trees to Wilkinsburg’s urban landscape.

Working with the Borough of Wilkinsburg, the Wilkinsburg Community Development Corporation and the Nine Mile Run Watershed Association, TreeVitalize and its partners have planted 500 trees in Wilkinsburg, completed in spring 2013.

These trees already intercept thousands of gallons of storm water and they will continue to intercept an increasing amount of water for years to come as they grow, adding to the restoration and protection of the Nine Mile Run watershed.
