August 2010

16th Annual Twilight Tour Saturday, August 28, 2010

Twilight Tour

“...a great lantern in the forest giving shape to the dark”
-Edgar J. Kaufmann, jr.

The Twilight Tour provides guests with a unique opportunity to tour the house as the sun sets over the ridges of the Laurel Highlands.

Attendees will mingle on the bridge outside the house while enjoying wine and hors d'oeuvres. As the sun finally disappears over the ridges guests will walk the lantern-lit pathway to the meadow where they will be treated to a gourmet picnic prepared by Fallingwater’s chef. Dinner under the star-filled skies will be accompanied by the sounds of Bear Run and the cool jazz of Lisa Ferraro and Roger Humphries.

Space is limited for this unique event, and tickets should be purchased by August 21, 2010.

To be properly prepared for the evening guests should bring a flashlight and blanket or lawn chair. House wine will be available, but guests are welcome to bring their own special wine for the picnic and jazz concert.

Please note that tickets are available by advance ticket purchase only, and WPC members and Friends of Fallingwater members must make reservations via phone.

Tickets may be purchased by calling Visitor Services at 724-329-8501 or by using our secure online ticketing system. If purchasing tickets online, please email Katlyn Andyjohn, event coordinator, at kandyjohn@paconserve.org and let her know if you will be bringing chairs or a blanket and if you have any special dietary needs.
