Fallingwater’s High Meadow Receives Award from AIA Pennsylvania

The High Meadow facility at FallingwaterFallingwater’s new addition to its High Meadow educational facility received this year’s highest design honor, a Silver Medal, during American Institute of Architects (AIA) Pennsylvania's annual Architectural Excellence Design Awards Gala in Philadelphia last month. Vote for More Veggie Gardens

Community members impacted by local vegetable gardensWPC is applying for funding so that more people in Western Pennsylvania can create and sustain community vegetable gardens to grow fresh, local produce for themselves and their neighbors. Scenic View at Laurel Hill Officially Open

Scenic View at Laurel HillEarlier this year, WPC protected 184 scenic acres that are now part of Laurel Hill State Park. Visitors can experience breathtaking views of the park from an outlook tower that is now open to the public. Check out the park’s website for more information.

Fallingwater Tours Offered Weekends in December

Fallingwater covered in snowIn preparation for the winter season, Fallingwater is open for guided house tours on weekends in December and every day from December 26-31. The house will be closed in January and February, but grounds passes will be available, weather permitting. Book your December tour today!

WPC and Dominion Seek Proposals for Grants

A stream impacted by the watershed minigrant program.The Conservancy and Dominion Foundation are now accepting proposals for the 2016-2017 Watershed Mini Grant Program, which provides assistance to watershed groups in 29 counties. Grants cover expenses for water quality monitoring, watershed restoration and organizational promotion and outreach. Applications are available online and will be accepted until Dec. 30, 2016.
