Fallingwater Volunteer Applicants for 2011 Season

A volunteer working with children

Fallingwater is once again accepting applications for a range of volunteer positions at the Frank Lloyd Wright masterwork in Pennsylvania’s scenic Laurel Highlands.

Potential volunteers who would enjoy interacting with visitors may apply for positions at the information desk, the museum shop, or the Fallingwater Café. Or, volunteers who enjoy nature and outdoor work may help to maintain Fallingwater’s beautiful setting within Bear Run Nature Reserve by assisting landscaping and gardening crews.

Fallingwater is especially interested in volunteers who would like to assist with day-to-day museum activities. Activities include assisting with interpretive programs for adults and children, staffing art exhibits, serving as “Ask-Me Guides,” and leading grounds tours.

Volunteers at Fallingwater can expect to interact with visitors from all over the world and experience Wright’s masterwork of organic design on a personal level.

Local volunteers from nearby communities such as Chalk Hill, Connellsville, Farmington, Mill Run and Ohiopyle are strongly encouraged to apply. Volunteers at Fallingwater are asked to commit to a minimum of one day per month between the months of May and October. Our spring orientation will be held on April 9. For more information, please contact Jennifer Hiebert at 724-329-7826 or jhiebert@paconserve.org.
