TreeVitalize Pittsburgh Accepting Applications Until March 20

TreeVitalize plantingWould you like a tree planting in your neighborhood this year? Fall 2015 TreeVitalize Pittsburgh applications are now available for interested communities. Every Pittsburgh neighborhood and many Allegheny County municipalities are eligible to participate in TreeVitalize. Please contact Jeffrey Bergman at 412-586-2396 or trees@paconserve.org to discuss your planting plan before moving forward with your project. You can fill out the application online, due March 20 at 4 p.m.

Fallingwater Opens for 2015 Season


Fallingwater, a nominee to UNESCO’s prestigious World Heritage List, will begin its regular 2015 tour season hours on Saturday, March 14. Guided House Tours are offered daily – except Wednesdays – from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Thanksgiving weekend. Advance ticket purchase is strongly encouraged. Land Stewardship Invites Volunteers to First Workday of the Year

Volunteers are needed for the first land stewardship workday of the year at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 28. WPC staff and volunteers will meet at Bear Run Nature Reserve, surrounding Fallingwater in Mill Run, Pa., to conduct spring trail maintainance and cleanup.
