Fallingwater Opens for the 2016 Season

FallingwaterFrank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater will officially open on Saturday, March 12 for its 52nd tour season. Fallingwater guided house tours are offered daily, except Wednesdays, through Thanksgiving weekend from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Whether you’d like to plan a trip to visit Fallingwater for the first or 10th time, now is the time to make your reservation online.

265 Acres Protected in the French Creek Watershed

Two properties in Crawford County were recently permanently protected, safeguarding important ecological resources and rare species in the French Creek watershed. The protection of 168 acres in Sadsbury Township adjoins State Game Land #213, known as Conneaut Marsh, a more than 5,600-acre wetland. And in Vernon Township, 97 acres near Cussewago Creek will continue to provide habitat to more than 200 species of birds and is now part of WPC’s Katz Natural Area. Volunteers Needed at First Stewardship Workday of the Year

Enjoy the first week of spring outdoors at WPC’s first volunteer workday of the year on Saturday, March 26 at Bear Run Nature Reserve, a more than 5,000-acre natural area surrounding Fallingwater in Mill Run, Pa. Volunteers will assist WPC’s land stewardship staff with spring trail and campsite cleanup and posting new trail signs.
