Bear Run Trail Care Weekend with the Keystone Trails Association

Bear Run Nature Reserve

The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy is working with the Keystone Trails Association to maintain the trails in Bear Run Nature Reserve. In order to accomplish our goals, we're hosting volunteer work days, during which members and non-members meet to help with a variety of tasks. Between October 15 and 17, we'll be clearing brush and blowdowns, painting blazes, and installing signage where necessary.

Bear Run is the largest property owned by the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, and its 5,000 acres are made accessible by more than 20 miles of trails. You can access a map of these trails here.

For information about how you can participate, contact Andy Zadnick at azadnik@paconserve.org or 412-586-2318 .

Keystone Trails Association, a volunteer-directed, public service organization is a federation of membership organizations and individuals dedicated to providing, preserving, protecting and promoting recreational hiking trails and hiking opportunities in Pennsylvania, and to representing and advocating the interests and concerns of the Pennsylvania hiking community.
