A view of the Erie Bluffs.

A view of the Erie Bluffs.

Western Pennsylvania Conservancy members are invited to a lecture and hike where we'll discuss one of the most ecologically significant areas in the state - the Erie coastline!

Wednesday, September 28, 2011
9:30 - 11:30 a.m.

Tom Ridge Environmental Center
301 Peninsula Dr # 1
Erie, PA 16505

Lake Erie's coast is home to extraordinary bluffs, scarp seepages, remnant wetland forests and Presque Isle peninsula and bay, all of which supports a diversity of rare and endangered species. The Conservancy has worked for years to protect these complex ecosystems and to ensure the unique wildlife here continues to thrive.

After the lecture, one of WPC's staff ecologists will lead an optional hike to explore and discover the awesome features of Lake Erie's ecosystems.

To register, contact Dan Cody at 412-586-2410 or dcody@paconserve.org.

Light refreshments will be provided. Guests of WPC members are welcome.
