Fallingwater Offers Tour of Wright Homes

Fawcett House pool in CaliforniaJoin us on Sept. 27 in central California for a rare opportunity to tour two private Frank Lloyd Wright-designed houses. Afterward, special guest Arthur Dyson will speak about his experience as an apprentice in Wright’s Fellowship and his role in the restoration of the Fawcett House. An al fresco dinner caps off the day. Proceeds from this fundraising event will support the preservation of Fallingwater. Space is limited, so please RSVP by Sept. 16. Volunteers Needed for Stewardship Workday

WPC’s stewardship staff will work in Wolf Creek Narrows near Slippery Rock, Pa., to pull purple loosestrife, an invasive plant, and make trail repairs. Staff welcomes volunteers at this event at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13. BirdSafe Pittsburgh Begins Fall Monitoring

Bird perched on handJoin members of BirdSafe Pittsburgh and WPC on Sunday, Sept. 7 to help monitor the problem of birds colliding into Pittsburgh buildings. The group will meet at 6 a.m. at PPG Plaza and will walk around downtown to begin monitoring. They will then head to the WPC offices to discuss observations.
