Location

Erie Bluffs State Park

Join WPC naturalists on a guided hike through Erie Bluffs State Park. This 587-acre park features the largest undeveloped shoreline along Lake Erie in the state. The 90-foot bluffs offer dramatic views of the lake. The park features exceptional value wetlands and uncommon habitats such as black oak woodland/savannah and sand barren ecosystems.

Learn about the natural history of the region, the qualities that make the landscape unique, and how WPC’s ecological restoration efforts protect the diversity of species found here.

Hike groups will depart from the trailhead at 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. The hike route is about three miles and will take approximately two hours with interpretation by our naturalists. These trails are considered “easy to moderate” in difficulty.

We will meet at the park’s main parking lot: 11122 West Lake Road, Lake City, PA 16423. Reservations are required and space is limited. Please register by October 12.
