North Middle School Fallingwater also introduced the “Nuts & Bolts of Architecture” as an optional educational component for student groups. For many students, this was their first field trip. A long-term goal is that every child in the region visits Fallingwater at least once during his or her school years. Seven school districts in Fayette County and southwestern Somerset County with an estimated student population of 20,388 are included in the program: Albert Gallatin Area, Brownsville Area, Connellsville Area, Laurel Highlands, Frazier, Uniontown Area, and Turkeyfoot Area in Somerset County. As it grows, it is hoped the program can become available to other schools in southwestern Pennsylvania.
