Watershed Protection and Restoration of Potomac Tributaries

The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy completed the Three Sisters Watershed Conservation Plan in November 2006. The document is a plan for the conservation of three individual watersheds: Sideling Hill, Fifteenmile and Town creeks, which all flow across the Pennsylvania/Maryland border to the Potomac River in Maryland.

The mission of the conservation plan is “to include residents as active participants in conserving their communities’ natural resources and maintaining the rural character of the Sideling Hill, Fifteenmile, and Town Creek watersheds.” Now that the plan is completed, additional funding opportunities will be sought in order to implement projects identified in the plan.
