Fallingwater Marketing Communications Specialist

Fallingwater (Mill Run, PA)

The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy (WPC) is seeking a highly motivated, creative professional with experience in marketing communications, public relations, marketing, digital marketing or multimedia communications for its Marketing Communications Specialist for Fallingwater. The specialist will support WPC’s communications department by leading, managing and/or assisting with the essential duties associated with Fallingwater’s external marketing and communications efforts, specifically social media content creation, photography, videography, website writing and advertising. In addition, the specialist will help manage and assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Job Duties

  • Creates, writes, edits and schedules content for and manages the social media channels for Fallingwater. Monitors and responds to social media comments.
  • Takes and edits photos and videos that support engaging content for social media platforms.
  • Works with other Frank Lloyd Wright sites to partner on social media content and campaigns.
  • Creates, oversees, informs and manages Fallingwater’s social media policies and social media brand reputation strategy.
  • Writes website content for Fallingwater.org, including updates on preservation work at Fallingwater.
  • Creates, writes and edits Fallingwater quarterly e-newsletters and performs other writing assignments as assigned.
  • Works with Fallingwater staff to help develop, manage and implement strategies for marketing and communications related to Fallingwater’s revenue-generating operations, including site visitation, Museum Store, Café, Barn and Fallingwater Institute.
  • Places social media advertising for Fallingwater.
  • Takes and collects video and photography that support marketing efforts and other communications projects and platforms.
  • Monitors, maintains and updates communications databases and a library of archives. Performs data analysis and provides numbers for quarterly reports. Works collaboratively to improve the functionality of databases and archives.
  • Manages Fallingwater multimedia communications intern.
  • Participates in special projects and performs additional duties and other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing communications, marketing, digital marketing, multimedia communications or related field or comparable work experience
  • At least five years of experience
  • Experience with the management of social media platforms and digital advertising
  • Strong communication skills, including writing and editing
  • Experience in the production of communication materials
  • Proficiency with email marketing platforms
  • Strong project management, organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment
  • A developed eye for design and demonstrated skill in applying a visual and brand aesthetic
  • Proficiency in photography and videography
  • Genuine interest in and knowledge of architecture, art and design

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the arts and cultural field
  • Master’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple priorities with flexibility and adaptability
  • Ability to handle information discreetly and confidentially
  • Experience using WordPress and Adobe Photoshop
  • Must present a professional demeanor and appearance

Position Duration

This is a regular, full-time opportunity with benefits.

Pay

$53,000 – $64,000
