How We Work
Western Pennsylvania Conservancy (WPC) has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to user and donor privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for www.WaterLandLife.org and any other URL owned by the WPC; and our membership and donor programs.
This site contains links to other sites. Western Pennsylvania Conservancy is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such web sites.
Our site uses an order form for constituents to request information, products, and services. We collect a visitor's contact information (email address), unique identifiers (user names and passwords), financial information (account or credit card numbers) and shipping information. Contact information from the order form is used to send orders and information about our organization to our members and supporters. The contact information is also used to get in touch with the visitor when necessary. Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings; see the choice/opt-out section below. Financial information that is collected is used to bill the user for products and services.
Our online surveys ask visitors for contact information (email address). We use contact data from our surveys to send the user information about our organization. The customer's contact information is also used to contact the visitor when necessary. Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings; see the choice/opt-out section below.
Information provided to Western Pennsylvania Conservancy and/or Fallingwater and www.waterlandlife.org and/or www.fallingwater.org as part of the ordering process is not provided to anyone else. The only exception is that credit card transactions may be handled by a third-party financial institution, which receives the credit card number and other personal identifying information like billing address to verify the credit card numbers and process transactions.
This website has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control.
Our website provides users the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from us at the point where we request information about the visitor.
As part of our efforts to continually expand membership support for our programs, Western Pennsylvania Conservancy occasionally exchanges portions of our member list with a small number of carefully screened organizations. These organizations conduct similar programs or services that may interest our members.
If you do not wish your member information to be exchanged, or to receive information from other organizations, please let us know by contacting the Development Department toll free at 1-866-564-6972, by e-mail to email@example.com, or by postal mail at Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, 800 Waterfront Drive, Pittsburgh, Pa., 15222. WPC will also remove names from our mailing lists at the donor's request, and honor all requests to not contact a donor by mail, telephone nor email, if that is the donor's preference.
