WPC Preserves

Love birding, hiking or fishing? Are you looking to get away in nature? The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy welcomes you to explore more than 14,600 acres of forests, streams, wetlands and meadows that we own and manage in 17 counties across the region. Located near you in cities, towns and rural areas, all of our preserves are open to the public, free of charge, so that everyone can explore and experience the natural beauty of Western Pennsylvania.

Whenever you are ready for your next outdoor adventure – whether it is an easy walk to a fishing hole, a quiet stream paddle or an adventurous off-trail hike in a forest – a Conservancy-owned preserve is awaiting your arrival. You need nature and nature needs you, so get outdoors and explore our region from one of the following local nature preserves!

Please note that hunting is allowed on most WPC preserves, except on Sundays.

Please exercise caution and wear blaze orange.
