Bioswale Garden Planting & Happy Hour

Join the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy as we plant more than 13,000 perennials in our community flower garden this month at the corner of Centre and Herron avenues in Pittsburgh’s Hill District. You can help out by planting some of the thousands of flowers at the garden on April 25. After the planting, volunteers are invited to a happy hour at The Porch in Oakland for free appetizers and discounted drinks until 8 p.m.

The planting will complete a new bioswale in the garden, installed by the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority to reduce stormwater runoff. Once complete, this garden will help keep our rivers and streams clean by reducing the water volume entering the sewer pipes.

Registration is required by April 18. Please email Dan Cody at dcody@paconserve.org with any questions.
