RADical Days: Mums the Word
Location
Gateway Islands and Market Square (Downtown Pittsburgh)
As fall approaches, it is time to start to think about transitioning WPC’s downtown flower planters, which are generously funded by Colcom Foundation, to chrysanthemums and other seasonal plant material. Join WPC for a brief presentation on how we design and implement our downtown planter program for the City of Pittsburgh. Afterwards, participants will help bring natural beauty to downtown by planting mums for our fall planter display in Market Square. Participants should dress for the weather, and work gloves and tools will be provided. This presentation starts at 9 a.m., EDT with the fall planting to follow.
Allegheny Regional Asset District’s RADical Days is an annual celebration that offers several days of free admission, performances, events and activities each September and October as a thank you to Allegheny County taxpayers who make RAD funding possible. RAD funding supports WPC’s community flower gardens that are located in Allegheny County. The Conservancy is participating in RADical Days 2022 with this free event.
For all events, pre-register at (412) 288-2777 by Sept. 26. Those younger than 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
