Membership Representative – Part Time

Fallingwater (Mill Run, PA)

Fallingwater, a property entrusted to the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, designated as a National Historic Landmark and inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, is seeking a part-time Membership Representative for the Fallingwater Membership department. The person in this position reports to the Fallingwater Membership Coordinator and promotes Fallingwater and Western Pennsylvania Conservancy membership and other opportunities for support to visitors, and oversees public relations audio-visual presentation.  

Job Duties

• Presents information on Fallingwater and the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy to visitors, using an audio/visual presentation and brief overview. Answers visitor(s) questions.
• Prepares membership venue for visitors, assembles printed information and membership packets.
• Performs data entry (Membership contact and donation information), prints and mails gift acknowledgements.
• Presents information about Fallingwater and WPC memberships to visitors, explains various levels of membership and the accompanying membership benefits and explains other opportunities for supporting Fallingwater and WPC as appropriate.
• Reconciles daily receipts, balances cash box and compiles membership reports.
• Keeps updated on membership information, promotions, programs and incentives. Attends membership department meetings, as requested.
• Supports the Conservancy’s cost containment and fundraising efforts and needs, as applicable.
• Contacts Van Driver to provide transportation and provides other assistance to visitors as needed.
• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as required.

• Ability to stand (or sit, if needed) for prolonged periods. 
• Ability to work outside in all weather types. 
• Ability to occasional lift 10 pounds or more if needed. 
• Utilizing keyboarding and fine motor skills   

Qualifications

• Must have good customer-service orientation and good group-presentation skills. Good interpersonal skills are required. 
• Must be adaptable and open to change and able to positively interact with visitors in a group atmosphere. 
• Must have excellent verbal communications skills. 
• The ability to slightly tailor a presentation to be more receptive to different audiences is preferred (Presentation time 3-5 minutes on average). 
• Must be able to work well independently and with others. 
• Experience using Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge or another similar database experience strongly preferred. 
• Must be flexible with schedule and be able to work weekends and holidays. 
• Familiarity with Fallingwater and the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy tour content is needed. 
• Familiarity with local area and points of interest is helpful. 
• To be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Position Duration

This is a part-time, seasonal opportunity.

Pay

$17.93 per hour
