Members Since 1993
We are honored to have counted Tim Thyreen as a dedicated member of the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy’s board of directors from 2003 until he passed in May 2022. In an earlier interview, Tim shared why he was passionate about the Conservancy’s mission. “The Conservancy transforms the region on many fronts – land and water conservation, and Community Greenings. I am pleased to play a role in shaping the region’s future through serving on the Conservancy’s board of directors and through financial giving.”
Carolyn remains a passionate supporter of conservation and education. She explains that her commitment to the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, which was shared by Tim, is rooted in her “deep sense of stewardship and respect for all of God’s creation.” Carolyn has been a resident of Waynesburg, Pa. for more than 40 years and has always appreciated the beauty of its natural resources of land and water.
Tim and Carolyn’s desire to make a bigger impact on the Conservancy’s future prompted their decision to make both an outright gift to the Conservancy Our Shared Legacy campaign (2010 – 2015) and a planned gift through their wills. We are grateful for Tim’s leadership as a member of the board of directors and for Carolyn’s continued support of our conservation efforts.
