Riparian Tree Planting- Shelocta

Join us for a few hours, or all day! Help plant trees to improve stream quality and promote wildlife habitat!
What is a Riparian Buffer?
It’s a natural strip of plants, grasses, shrubs, and trees that grows along the edge of a stream or river. This buffer helps to stabilize stream sides, create wildlife habitat, cool and clean water, and so much more. Help make a difference in your local environment by supporting a riparian buffer!
Plantings will begin at approximately 9am and end at 2pm. Volunteer for as long as you’d like! Rain or shine, we will be there!
