Did you know that WPC has played an important role in protecting and expanding Pennsylvania’s state parks, state forests and game lands? For nearly 80 years, WPC has strategically identified and protected important lands.
In a free November 14 webinar, “Land Protection at WPC: Preserving Exceptional Places Since 1945,” you’ll learn how we identify and protect important lands, including by partnering with local land trusts and conservation-minded landowners. Using data, research and science and other conservation considerations, we prioritize protecting the natural features, wildlife habitats, waterways and landscapes that make our region special.
We’ve conserved more than a quarter million acres, including more than 14,000 acres to create local nature preserves that we own and manage for all to enjoy, as well as land that helped to establish 11 state parks and enhance state forests, state game lands and the Allegheny National Forest.
Join WPC Vice President of Land Conservation Shaun Fenlon to learn how WPC identifies land for protection and works with key partners to preserve land for public benefit. Plus, discover your options for conserving your land for wildlife and future generations.
