On Monday, June 22, 2020, Western Pennsylvania Conservancy President and CEO Tom Saunders provided a live overview of the accomplishments made possible through the support of WPC members. The presentation provided an opportunity to learn about WPC’s important work that continues this year, and how WPC is facing the challenges of COVID-19, including plans for reopening Fallingwater. There was also an election of directors to the board. Additionally, staff members provided updates on WPC projects including the Farmland Access Initiative, Fallingwater’s World Heritage inscription, a new rain garden in Pittsburgh, Flight 93 Memorial ecological assessment and abandoned mine drainage work at WPC’s 1,400-acre Bennett Branch Forest in Elk and Clearfield counties.
