Fallingwater Membership Manager 

Fallingwater (Mill Run, PA)

Fallingwater, a property entrusted to the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, designated as a National Historic Landmark and inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, is seeking a full-time, seasonal Fallingwater Membership Manager. This position interfaces with Director of Annual Fund and manages the Fallingwater membership staff in carrying out the member acquisition program onsite at Fallingwater, including membership data entry, monitoring revenue and expenses, supervising part-time staff, program evaluation and customer service. 

Job Duties

  • Provides input to and serves as primary implementer of Fallingwater membership strategy as directed by Director of Annual Fund, including regular monitoring and reporting of revenue and expense relative to budget projections 
  • Oversees day-to-day activities of new member acquisition program and staff located at Fallingwater, including daily reports, reconciling daily cash and credit card memberships and donations  
  • Serves as liaison with Fallingwater Education and Visitor Service staff on all matters relating to the Fallingwater onsite membership program 
  • Recruits, trains and provides regular performance feedback to Fallingwater membership staff   
  • Schedules membership staffing based on visitation and reservation statistics and budgetary considerations 
  • Processes and acknowledges all membership contributions acquired on-site at Fallingwater 
  • Assists with Friends of Fallingwater (FOFW) stewardship activities as needed, such as personalized thank-you cards from educators and Fallingwater director  
  • Provides service to donors and Fallingwater visitors: handles incoming telephone questions in related areas; attends to any onsite visitor questions, inquiries, or special needs 
  • Serves as Development liaison for planning annual Members’ Day, including coordinating with Fallingwater staff on onsite logistics 
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Conservancy’s policies, programs and procedures. 
  • Supports the Conservancy’s fundraising efforts as needed. 
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.  
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced atmosphere.  
  • Must be flexible and able to facilitate change.  
  • Must be able to meet deadlines. 
  • Must be able to encourage and promote a teamwork atmosphere. 
  • Must be customer-service oriented. 
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as good interpersonal skills. 
  • Must be able to make public presentations. 
  • Excellent computer skills are required. Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office products required, especially Outlook, Word and Excel. Experience with Salesforce or other customer database a plus. 
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred. 
  • Prior experience in a sales environment and public speaking preferred. 
  • To be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Pay

$23.56 – $26.68 per hour
