Find your favorite native plants, and maybe discover some new favorites, at the annual Ohiopyle Native Plant Sale, coordinated by the Southern Laurel Highlands Plant and Pest Management Partnership, in Ohiopyle State Park at the Sugarloaf picnic area, on May 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., EDT.  (Watch for signs at the Visitors Center.)

The Future Farmers of America students (grades 10-12) at the Fayette County Career and Technical Institute worked with the partnership to plant, water and maintain our native plants for this year’s sale. Find a list of native trees, shrubs and flowers for sale here

The partnership, consisting of the following organizations, manages 155,000 acres throughout the Laurel Highlands:

  • The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy/Fallingwater
  • The National Park Service (Flight 93, Fort Necessity, Friendship Hill)
  • Ohiopyle State Park/DCNR
  • Pennsylvania Game Commission
  • Fayette County Conservation District
  • Forbes State Forest
