A special Zoom webinar for WPC’s Leadership, Heritage and Evergreen Circle members
Bear Run Nature Reserve is the Conservancy’s flagship property and the largest of our 41 preserves. Best known as the area surrounding Fallingwater, these 5,119 acres along Laurel Ridge feature 28 miles of hiking trails.
Bear Run collects its waters from the mountains as it cascades through forests and rhododendron thickets, under Fallingwater and to the Youghiogheny River far below. This area is rich in natural landscape features and diverse life, including rare and endangered species.
Please join us for an in-depth look of the reserve and why it is an important conservation area. Learn about its history, including the Kaufmann Family’s approach to protecting it, and how the Conservancy is continuing the legacy of stewarding Bear Run.
