Casselman River Conservation Area
The Casselman River Conservation Area consists of noncontiguous tracts bordering the Casselman River. The preserve protects riparian forest and steep forested hillsides within view of the Great Allegheny Passage trail (GAP).
The Joshua C. Whetzel, Jr. Memorial Recreation Area comprises approximately 40 acres of the larger preserve and features a hiking trail overlooking the town of Confluence. **Note that portions of the preserve are accessible only from the river.

Hiking
There are no designated trails.
Biking
Bicycles are permitted only along the GAP.
Hunting
Hunting is permitted on most of the preserve except on Sundays. Areas closed to hunting are indicated on the map. Loaded firearms are prohibited within 50 feet of the GAP. All trapping is prohibited. All visitors should exercise caution and wear blaze orange during hunting season.
Fishing
Fishing is permitted in accordance with PA Fish and Boat Commission regulations.
